Add audio description to WordPress video without replacing your whole site.

Three free publishing patterns

1. Original plus described YouTube video: add both URLs and let the viewer switch versions.
2. Original YouTube video plus mixed MP3: synchronize a complete described soundtrack with the embed.
3. Original YouTube video plus unmixed MP3: synchronize narration while the plugin manages the original program audio.

These publishing options do not require a separate plugin licence.

A player for media stored in WordPress

The VoxDescribe player can use one original video from the Media Library, a synchronized audio description track, and captions. Viewers can turn AD and captions on or off with controls designed for keyboard and screen reader use.

The plugin avoids storing duplicate copies when a separate AD track can work with the original. If you choose a separate described video instead, publish it to your preferred video host and add its URL.

Process from the plugin dashboard when needed

A paid VoxDescribe account unlocks processing inside WordPress with the same Minutes balance used by the web app. There is no separate Pro licence charge. Site owners can create jobs, download the results, manage imported files, and copy the shortcode assigned to each video.

Choose the delivery method before you publish

Standard description works when narration fits the source timeline. Dense demonstrations and rapid text may need synchronized pauses. A second described video can carry those pauses directly. A separate AD audio track needs a player that understands the pause timeline. Test the exact embed on desktop and mobile before publishing.
